Self-discovery is part of the process of self-development which can transform self and life to be own best and live a conscious life based on (self) love and with intention. The purpose of self-development is to learn about and know self in terms of mental, physical, emotional and spiritual needs. For those who lack self-awareness and knowledge of self, some support and guidance from a professional therapist (to develop self) or a coach (to develop own life) will be needed to understand the need and process.

The first step to self-development is to acknowledge areas in life that need to be improved and why, this will inspire the need to identify issues and support to find or implement solutions. It’s important to understand that it takes time to break habits but as long as the long-term goal is understood, a growth mindset will harness the necessary change,

Developing your self will inspire higher self-worth and gratitude to take responsibility for actions as well as understand why choices are made. Knowing that own life is made up of experiences from decisions that self makes is a superpower.

This process needs to be an ongoing lifetime commitment, so as situations change, self can change in a mindful way.

Personal development and growth, self-reflection or improvement are all tools that will guide knowledge of self and focus in all areas of personal life, including relationships. Health and wellbeing will be enhanced so self learns to set goals as a long-term sustainable healthy lifestyle. The tools mentioned previously are similar processes to learn about self on a deeper level. Theres no real meaning to own life without knowing yourself. The most beautiful and empowering relationship needs to start within self to share that energy with others from the inside (self) out (to others). Self- reflection and awareness are underrated tools which inspire a lot of clarity about choices self may make and why so that more positive practices are developed.

A person may not achieve new practices and mindsets immediately but with an open mind, understanding and determination, healthy practices will become part of own lifestyle and the new norm.

Remember self-development is found outside of comfort zone and will lead to growth in areas of life focused on.
